Everyday Song to Water

Ars Libera's summer exhibition Kallavesi National Park!, Alahovi Winery, Kuopio 2019

I constructed in summer 2019 an environmental artwork Everyday Song to Water on Alahovi's lawn. It was a continuation to the previous summer's environmental artwork Ode to Potato (2018) and the location was the same, too. The artwork consisted of all kinds of containers of water battered by life: buckets, basins, jugs, cookers, cans and cups. Surrounding trees were reflecting on the surfaces of water; weeds and all kinds of buzzing insects participated in the ensemble.

In the late summer drought had taxed on the waters and landscapes. Weeds were running wild, the views in the vessels were slimy and littered. That's all about that artistic treatise on water.
